TeleDE is a service designed to enable communication between GPs and dermatologists. Apps on the doctors’ smartphones establish a secure environment that enables photographs to be shared and questions submitted. In this way, GPs can tap the dermatologists’ expertise without having to refer the patient. Responses are forthcoming within several hours, or faster in urgent cases. The app is available to all Dutch GPs free of charge
