Nanopod

Nanopod is a technique to transport particles with therapeutic value to the right place in the body. For example carbon dioxide, vitamins or medication with low bio-availability can ‘piggy-back’ on nanoparticles. Together with the nanoparticles, the therapeutic particles are processed into a gel, which can permeate the skin. Through this technique, less active compounds are needed and release takes place gradual in a 24-hour window. Therefore, less side-effects occur. The system is used to treat acne and other skin afflictions.
