Mind Mansion creates a VR environment in which people are exposed to their own fears. This envi-ronment is used for so-called Virtual Reality Exposure Therapy (VRET) for people who are struggling with a fear of phobia. In the VR environment, patients are connected to their fear under the supervision of their therapist, whilst they are actually in the safe environment of a treatment room. Controlled exposure can contribute to learning how to control the fear. Compared to customary treatments for anxiety, Mind Mansion makes it possible for the therapist to provide more targeted treatment, to measure the fear level through biofeedbackmechanisms, and to monitor the treatment curve. Moreover, gamification adds game elements to help the client increase their motivation.
