SOLE

The Podoprinter (developed by Blackbelt 3D) is a 3D printer that prints orthotics and insoles. Podiatrists can easily create custom orthotics and insoles for their patients using the printer. This way, the soles are ready to use quickly and are perfectly tailored to the needs of the wearer. The printer can build up the soles with different degrees of firmness so that some parts of the foot experience more or less pressure, which makes them more comfortable than traditional handmade soles, improves the circulation, and decreases the chance of wounds. Thanks to the Podoprinter, treatment of the affliction can be more efficient than a treatment with traditional soles. The treatment period might be shorter and the podiatrist can treat more people because they spend less time making the soles.
