Nuance

Nuance is specialised in voice recognition soft ware based on AI and Cloud Computing, offering various healthcare solutions. The Nuance platform automates workflows and allows for clinical audio recordings between patients and physicians to be stored and analysed. Conversations and dictated doctor’s notes can be transcribed safely and converted to text organised by topic. Medical language specialists and physicians can then check and fine tune these digital concept documents. This alleviates the administrative load while ensuring that conversations are analysed for future moments. Based on measurement instruments, suggestions and predictions are made about internal work processes and how to improve the service for the patient. And with a virtual voice assistant and an automated chatbot, the physician can be unburdened of even more work in the future while improving the efficiency of patient file administration. In 2021, the company was acquired by Microsoft and over 75% of hospitals in the USA is now using at least one Nuance service.
