Neuromotus

In an international research collaboration, the University Medical Centre Groningen in the Netherlands employs digital reality in the treatment of phantom limb pain. Initial results from the Neuromotus system are very promising. During the intervention, patients are ‘tricked’, as it were, into thinking that the missing limb is still there. They move their ‘arm’ or ‘leg’ by tensing the muscles in the stump.
