Imprivata PatientSecure is a platform for positive identification of patients which creates a 1-on-1 match between individual patients and their unique medical files. In several hospitals, Imprivata has made it possible to log in with a biometric scan. The system can function on vein recognition in the palm of the hand or through iris recognition in the eye. A fingerprint can also be used to denote approval. This way, data is always linked to the correct files and both the healthcare professional and the patient can approve matters quickly. Imprivata PatientSecure can be directly integrated in the EPD, ADT, EMPI and other HIS systems of a care facility.
