ForeseeHome

ForeseeHome is a diagnostic device with which the eyes can be tested for wet age-related macular degeneration. Through early detection, treatment can be started quickly to prevent progression. To do this, a scan of the retina is needed, which can be described as an optical echographs; an Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT). With the ForeseeHome, this test can be done at home with a manageable device. By testing for three minutes a day, anomalies can be spotted quickly. A monthly report is created which is shared with a healthcare professional. This way, action can be taken immediately, if necessary. By doing this, the patient not only saves the cost of a big scan, but treatment can also be started on time to prevent worse.
