Bilihome

What else is at play?

Bilihome’s Wearable Light Therapy was developed to help new-born babies recover from jaundice. Around ten percent of new-born babies need blue light therapy to prevent neurological damage due to jaundice. These children had to stay in an incubator in the past, but this technique allows the therapy to be offered without breaking natural routines of care: the baby can be exposed to blue light to recover while breastfeeding or cuddling. The technique therefore eliminates the need to separate the baby from their parents. The device looks like a baby vest or sweater and consists of three layers of breathing and temperature-controlled fabric. The device is comfortable to wear and has proven effective for the therapy.
