3D-geprint kunstgebit

Researchers at the University of Buffalo have developed a technique to produce 3D-printed dentures that release an antifungal drug. About two thirds of people who wear dentures are prone to oral fungal infections. Current preventative measures, such as antiseptic mouthwashes and microwave disinfection, are less effective and require removal of the dentures. The 3D-printed dentures are cheaper, easier to fabricate, and more sophisticated by virtue of tiny built-in fungicide-dispensing capsules.
